Battery Operated Pool & Spa Vacuums: Tips on Choosing the Right Vacuum

Choosing the right battery operated cleaner requires some knowledge of how they work. Water Tech is the leading manufacturer of these cleaners and they also make the Jacuzzi line. There are three typical sizes for the homeowner and based on your need would determine which one you would choose. I go over the three size typical sizes here for you.

For a spa or very small kiddie pool, the basic small handheld “D” battery unit like the JVP 100 would be a great choice. This is designed primarily for a very small body of water and is perfect for your fiberglass spa.

Here are some of the features of the JPV100:
Use by hand or attach to any standardized size telescoping pole.
Up to 2.5 hours of use (multiple cleanings)
Includes Vacuum Head, Filter Bag, Power Head, Battery Chamber, Pool Pole Adapter, and Micro Filter Bags.
2-Year Warranty.
Powered by five D-Cell Batteries, the Jacuzzi JPV100 Professional Grade Pool and Spa Vacuum vacuum up unwanted debris, including sand, silt, and algae without the use of a pool hose for approximately 2.5 hours of run time with multiple cleanings.

The JPV100 has a small debris chamber and a compact size so it is ideal for spas and hot tubs. That would be my primary recommendation for the JPV100.

If you need to vacuum a larger surface area I would suggest looking at the JPV200 or JPV300. These are designed for vacuuming larger areas and both of these feature larger debris bags.
The Jacuzzi ® JPV200 – Professional Grade Pool and Spa Vacuum, is a rechargeable portable vacuum for your pool or spa. There are many great features of the JPV200 and I really like the compact size and large debris chamber and the power of the JPV200. Here are some more features of the JPV200:

“7.5-inch Wide Vacuum Head for catching more debris
Large Debris Chamber for the toughest jobs
Powerful Motor with Fully Rechargeable Lithium Powered Battery
Cordless Operation
2-Year Warranty

Includes Vacuum Head, Nose Cap, Filter Bag, Cleaner Body, Motor Box, and Battery Charger
Small enough to navigate spas and fountains, but strong enough to clean medium-sized above and in-ground pools, this cleaner can take on just about any job.
With its large debris chamber and filter bag, the Jacuzzi JPV200 Professional Grade Pool and Spa Vacuum, Rechargeable cleans large areas of the pool, spa, or hot tub.

Featuring a cordless, hose-less design, a reusable Extreme Multi-Layer filter bag and rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery technology.
The Jacuzzi® JPV300 Cordless Professional Pool & Spa Vacuum is a great tool that fits in perfectly between skimming your pool and manually vacuuming your pool with a system vacuum. It is priced just under $230.00 making it an affordable tool for your pool or spa maintenance. It is ideal for spas, above ground pools and small to medium in-ground pools. It is an extremely convenient way to vacuum your pool or spa and the fact that it is cordless allows you to just connect it to your pool pole and drop it right in. A huge time saver

Here are some of the features of the JPV 300:
LPM Part #: 58202
Up to 1-hour run time on a full charge
10.5-inch Wide Vacuum Head
Advanced Motor. Lithium Battery, Cordless, and Fully Rechargeable
Multi-Layered Filter Cone to catch debris
High Volume Debris Chamber and Unique Filtration System
Includes Vacuum Head, Debris Chamber, Filter Assembly, Cleaner Body, Pool Pole Adapter, and Battery Charger
Fully Charges in less than 4 hours
2-Year Warranty
Push Button On/Off

One of the things that I like the best about the JPV 300 is the very large debris chamber. It can pick up large amounts of the debris before needing to be emptied and the filter cone in front traps dirt and debris extremely well. You will find the JPV 300 to be a great all-purpose vacuum for your pool or spa.

Depending on the overall size of the pool or spa you are vacuuming will determine the battery-operated cleaner you should purchase.

Swimming Pool Safety – Things to Know When in the Water!

Taking a dip in the pool during hot weather is a great way to have fun and relax, be with friends, enjoy time with family or even float by yourself. However there are critical rules and safety issue to know about when swimming.

How To Choose A Safe Pool Enclosure

The selection of materials and designs available for a pool fence have transformed over the last years offering greater aesthetic value, ease of maintenance and affordability. New regulations require that property owners adhere to safety standards when erecting structures. Aluminum, wood, and glass are among the most popular ranges each offering a unique set of features for installation and investment purposes.

Features Of High Quality Affordable Pools

A pool is a luxury item most people simply cannot afford. If you are like most people though, you probably still want to someday own a pool. Luckily for you, there are many affordable options available to consumers who want the luxuries afforded by a pool without paying the exorbitant fees that are commonly associated with buying one. By reviewing the features of high quality affordable pools, you will better understand which pool products best suit your unique requirements.

Protecting Pools And Outdoor Installations With The Right Fence

Failing to restrict access to pools, hot tubs and other outdoor installations can lead to any number of potentially serious problems and concerns. Young children that have unrestricted access to pools may be at greater risk of injury. The right fence can also serve as a deterrent in order to discourage trespassers and unauthorized visitors from gaining access to a hot tub, pool or similar installation.

Finding The Right Fencing Installations For Outdoor Pools

Failing to properly secure outdoor pools and hot tubs can greatly increase the risk of injury and drowning, especially for households that have small children. Fencing installations offer a simple and effective way to ensure that safety and security do not become problematic. Finding a more attractive range of styles and installation options can even enhance that attractiveness of outdoor environments.
